Multi product lines
A product is a genetic unit: a variety or a hybrid. The products are grouped into product lines. Examples: Corn, Durum wheat, Perennial ryegrass.
The product lines are grouped into families. Examples: Corn, Grain Cereals, Fodder.
IGus manages field-crop seeds:
- Corn, Grain Cereals (Wheat, Barley ...),
- Autogamous plants (sunflower, rapeseed, bean, flax ...),
- Forage and Turf Grass,
- Vegetable plants,
- Bulbs,
- Treatments,
- Consumables (bags, pallets ...).
The quantities in stock are expressed in article unit, doses (thousands of grains) or Kg.
The conversion between these units is automatic (via TKW or grain/kg). Thus, material accounting can be done in kilograms or in reference doses.
IGus also includes foundation seeds.
The articles follow the segmentation of the seed station
A product is subdivided into articles in order to follow the segmentation of the seed station: Wet raw (before drying), Raw (before sorting or calibration), Semi-finished (before bagging), Finished product.
The batch follows and anticipates the manufacturing processes
The batch is central in iGus. The batch is the intersection of manufacturing and quality. The notion of batch applies from the wet raw product to the bagged batch. The concept of an external batch facilitates dialogue with the phases located upstream or downstream of the seed station. Thanks to the batch, you can follow the achievements of the seed station, but you can also anticipate subsequent operations.
From raw product to the delivered finished product
IGus manages operations:
- Storage: initial reception, deliveries, moves, transfers ...
- Manufacturing: calibration and recalibration, sorting (densimetric table), assembly, bagging, re-bagging...
- Quality: batch constitution (corn).
- Per article and batch (for seeds and treatments).
- And/or per container.
